Wales Climate Week 2021 returns from the 22nd – 26th November with a 5-day programme of virtual events.
The aim of this week-long event is to encourage a nationwide discussion and conversation on the Net Zero Wales Plan and the collaborative action needed to ensure Wales meets its targets.
The programme will run across five days, with a different theme each day:
Monday 22nd November: Wales & the World
Wales is committed to making the 2020s a ‘decade of climate’. On this day you will hear from Welsh Ministers, international partners, leading scientists, youth ambassadors and other key voices who are all passionate about facilitating climate change in Wales.
Tuesday 23rd November: Energy and Emissions
Hear about the importance of reducing our reliance on traditional energy sources and how we are making strides towards greater use of renewable resource.
Wednesday 24th November: How Wales is responding to the climate emergency
What else has to be in place to enable net zero beyond our nation’s commitment to a reduction in emissions?
Thursday 25th November: Exploring the role of nature in climate resilience
Today we will explore the most effective actions, on land and sea, to reduce the impact of climate change.
Friday 26th November: How individual choices impact the world climate
Here at Cardiff and Vale UHB we tell our staff, patients and visitors that even the smallest change, can contribute to something even bigger! Today’s talk will explore the difference each of us can make, be it at work, home or in the community.
