The Clinical Senate is a quarterly forum that provides a platform for the sharing of good practice and innovation in line with the Shaping our Future Wellbeing strategy.
About the Clinical Senate
In providing the opportunity to share learning, innovation and good practice between multi-discipline clinicians in a regular setting, the Clinical Senate facilitates a better flow of information throughout the health board to improve services, enhance staff and patient experience and reduce variation.
The forum aims to promote better integration across clinical boards and organisations by supporting communication between primary and secondary care practitioners. The Senate benefits individual clinicians by helping them understand the enablers and the blocks to implementing change in their clinical area, and get a better impression of the innovation happening elsewhere in the health board.
Meeting Dates and Minutes
The next Cardiff and Vale UHB Clinical Senate session is confirmed for June 14th 2019 from 1.30 – 3.30pm – and there are a few small changes in store.
In response to feedback from previous senates, this next meeting will include lunch, which will be available from 1pm. The session will also be shorter, running from 1.30pm until 3.30pm to allow staff time to finish work before the weekend.
